This summer B.E.S.T students learned how to be better prepared for saving lives through hands-on training.
Here's what they learned:
Stop the Bleed®
The STOP THE BLEED® program trains people worldwide on how to stop bleeding in a severely injured person.
Active Shooter Training
Having a plan and knowing how to implement it increases the chance of keeping yourself and those around you safe in the event of an active shooter situation. It is important that schools and healthcare facilities around the country train daily to build confidence.
AED Training
Automated external defibrillators can help save lives during sudden cardiac arrest. However, even after training, remembering the steps to use an AED the right way can be difficult. To learn more about how to use an AED click here.
